Catalog Lib Page & Multiple BasedOn Libraries
    In This Topic

The My Setup > Lib page is only available in the Catalog Properties accessed in the Library Catalog Manager.

A starter catalog (.qim) and a 'Based on' library (.qil) is provided to all users which are located in the <your DoorMaster>/Library folder. Library Properties are overwritten with Catalog properties and together they initialise Drawing properties for a new drawing.

When loading a library, by default, DoorMaster looks for a .qim file as well as a .qil file, and loads them both together. The door image gallery is the .qiz file.

This makes it possible to duplicate and rename the original DoorMaster catalog (.qim) file, so that multiple catalogs (.qim) can be used with only one library file (.qil), as shown in the following example. See topic on the Library Catalog Manager, as this is where you can fully customise catalog files (.qim).

    Allow Library Change

The path and file fields are not editable until the Allow Library Changed option is ticked/enabled.

    Library Path

Enter a path to the folder containing the library (.qil) file, which is normally the Library folder, as shown below.

The path can be a UNC or you can use ".." or "\" to make it relative to the location of the catalog file itself.

    Library File (.QIL)

Once a path is entered, the Library File drop list provide file names of all 'Based on' files (.qil) in that location and available for selection.

In this example, there is only one (1) 'Based on' library (.qil) but two (2) a .qim files, which can be selected from the library selection drop list on the Home tab.

Any changes in the Catalog any changes will only come into effect upon opening a NEW drawing, even at this stage.

After a library update, newly developed doors added to the  'Based on' library (.qil) can be added to your own customised library/s (.qim)

    Reset

The Reset button can be used to revert to the original settings i.e. path to <LibraryFolder> and the DoorMaster library.
