    Catalog/Drawing Properties for DoorMaster Library
    In This Topic

    This section explains each of the default options available in the Catalog and Drawing Properties.

    The Catalog Properties are where the global defaults for door construction, pricing etc are set. These defaults can be overridden by Drawing Properties for the current job, which in turn can be overridden by Door Properties.

    A property is a user-defined variable (or default) that every door in the library can access and the end user can modify by using Friendly pages.

    Remember Catalog property sheets are displayed with a pink background to distinguish it from Drawing [F4] properties which display with a light grey background.

    Images used in this section are in light grey but apply to both the Catalog and the Drawing properties.

    Context Sensitive Help is a quick and easy way to find relevant help when you are working in DoorMaster.

    If you need more details on Property Inspector options/settings, click on the  icon in the title bar [the cursor will change to a question mark ] then click on the property sheet.

    About page

    The Job Details > About page of the Catalog/Drawing Properties is informational only with details of the Library version and Build that is being used - see How Build Numbers Work.

    In this example, the Library is DoorMaster Version 12.0 and the Build is 12.001.2.1 (release date stated in the parenthesis).

    (2) these can be overridden for each Job by amending the Drawing Properties [F4];

    (3) these can be overridden for individual Doors by amending the Door Properties.

    Any changes made to the Catalog will only come into effect upon opening a New Job / drawing. For full discussion see Library Basics and Properties.

    Other Considerations

    Keep in mind that each drawing/job will start off with its own set of properties called Drawing Properties [F4], which are initially an exact copy of the default values set in the Catalog.

    Individual jobs/drawings will need changes to the Drawing Properties to meet design, pricing and other processing requirements but without changing the Catalog defaults.
